Ultrasound manicure
For a long time I did not show you a non-standard manicure on our blog, and now - this day has come! :) Our topic today is ultrasound manicure.
Learning the news that you will soon become parents is a very exciting event. And it seems like every day people find new, more and more creative ways to announce their pregnancy, and it's no surprise that over the next few weeks, all the mom-to-be wants to do is go and discuss this momentous news with family, friends, or even with strangers, simultaneously showing everyone pictures of the first ultrasound of pregnancy. After all, this photo symbolizes the miracle growing inside you. :)
But there is no longer a need to carry photos with you, instead you can simply show off your manicure to others. Yes, yes, you read everything correctly. :) After all, now talented manicure masters help mothers in anticipation not to forget for a second about their wonderful situation by drawing actual images of ultrasound of future babies on their nails. That's right, we are talking about ultrasound manicure.
Ultrasound manicure is the latest trend that has enslaved fans of custom manicures on Instagram. We have already got used to the fact that nail art is a multifaceted thing, and the concept of beauty is also quite loose. It may seem a little creepy at first glance, but on the other hand, it's super cute. :) So it's worth giving this trend a chance.
It all started in April this year when a client of one of the beauty salons in the UK posted on Facebook a photo of a manicure done by nail artist Sarah Clarke. On one of the nails there was a realistic drawing, in the form of an ultrasound of pregnancy. The post immediately went viral on the web and gained 44,000 reposts. Manicurists Sara Clarke were simply bombarded with requests to do the same ultrasound manicure, and soon she even had to turn to other nail specialists for help, because she could no longer cope with so many clients on her own. :)
At the moment, Clarke has made the process of creating ultrasound on nails as simple as possible. Clients pre-send her an ultrasound photo by email, and Sarah recreates the picture on a false acrylic nail using varnishes and a thin brush. After that, clients can come to the salon and glue this nail, or simply keep it as a keepsake in a beautiful box.
People expect a mother-to-be to be fully occupied with the upcoming care of her baby, but in fact, during this period it is very important to relax and pamper yourself. Therefore, making such a symbolic manicure during pregnancy is a great idea. :)
While this trend is mostly a way to announce pregnancy, some girls do this manicure in memory of their children lost due to miscarriage or premature birth. One of these girls posted a very heartfelt post on Instagram:
“I have been doing this manicure for a long time. After three years of endless attempts at fertility treatments, my husband and I were in seventh heaven when I found out I was pregnant. But soon my heart was broken when I found out that the baby was frozen in the womb... I lost all inspiration. But, I have learned to accept the situation and move forward with new hope. I get an ultrasound manicure to celebrate the short life of my baby, and every time I see this photo on my nails, I smile.”
Even though most netizens didn't appreciate this nail trend, it's a piece of art anyway. And while nail art isn't exactly therapy, if it helps you express how you feel, then why not, right? :)
