Steam gel polish removal
Nowadays, most girls prefer gel coating. Therefore, it is great that beauty industry professionals are looking for more and more gentle methods of removing gel polish. Today I will tell you how to remove gel polish with steam.
Yes, yes, my girls, you heard right. Now, to get rid of the gel coating, it is enough to steam the pens well! :)
What is a nail polish remover steam generator?
An innovative method was invented by the master, and part-time owner of a nail salon in Hollywood, Katie Cazorla. The essence of the steam method of removing gel polish is to use a small sauna apparatus, which, in fact, does not use ordinary steam, but heats and splits the coating on the nails using a special acetone-containing solution.
How does it work?
The steam gel polish removal system works so well because heat is used to speed up the peeling process. Nail polish removers containing acetone work much faster when heated a little. Even a slight increase in temperature by 10 degrees is enough, and the coating exfoliates from the nails much faster. This reduces the risk of damage to the nail plate, compared to the conventional soaking method. In simple words: the less time acetone will be on your nails, the healthier they will be.
But most importantly, the gel polish remover steam generator is a great solution for those who need to remove the coating themselves. After all, to carry out any manipulations with a non-working hand is a real test! Admit it, how many times have you had to correct the foil falling from your fingertips? :)
Steam gel polish removal process
First, pour a small amount of nail polish remover into the special compartment inside the machine and turn it on. The device will heat up and beep when ready.
Then put your fingertips into the holes, position your hand so that it rests on the machine, and let the steam work. Do not pinch your fingers inside the device, but rather relax your hand as much as possible so that the steam covers all nails as much as possible.
After the timer beeps again, remove your hand from the device and remove the remaining coating with a special pusher tool, or an orange tree stick. You will notice that the nails and fingertips are not bleached or dried out as they are with regular soaking and foil wrapping.
This steam bath can be used to remove regular polish, gel polish, acrylic nails, or gel extensions. Most conventional polishes dissolve in about 5 minutes, while gel polish or acrylic peel off within 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the coating.
Most often, a steam gel polish remover is sold immediately complete with a special liquid - an acetone-containing agent, with vitamins, and natural moisturizing additives, but of course, this depends on the manufacturer.
A year ago, such a device functioned to remove varnish from only one hand, and the second limb had to wait a bit in line. :) At the moment, this problem has also been solved, and there are devices for removing gel polish with steam for two hands at once. Miracles and more!
The tool itself is quite easy to use and portable, easy to clean and disinfect. And some of these devices can also be used for hot oil manicure.
It remains only to wait for the same pedicure machine! :)
In general, the thing is quite interesting and useful, and I hope this device will receive well-deserved popularity in our open spaces. But I am especially pleased that beauty companies are finally really focusing on the aspect of nail care, and not just on their beauty. I hope this trend continues in the future! :)
