The days, when variety was not available to us, are gone, and everyone went with one shade of nail polish. And while we still love the classic nail polishes, be it red, french, or nude, I'm glad that the art of nail design doesn't stand still and often brings us new products. But the latest trends surprised even me, a seasoned manicurist! :) It's about selfie nails.

This "selfish" nail art was created by Dane Yoon , a "visual illusion" artist from Korea with nearly 200k followers on Instagram. Initially, she became famous for her high level of body art, and has already drawn self-portraits on her own body.

But her latest creations have definitely become the "highlight" of her working portfolio, and have made a lot of noise on the network.

To start with, the Korean painstakingly drew tiny self-portraits on each of her 10 nails, with a different facial expression for each nail. But according to her, it looked somehow strange and not finished. Then she decided to add a touch of hair that matched her natural shade, which she cut off from her little sister's doll to make each face more realistic! I wonder if the younger sister appreciated such sacrifices in the name of beauty and creativity :) .

Of course, these are not the first attempts to depict a portrait on nails, many manicurists draw faces as nail designs for their clients. Don't forget about the nail printer, which can print the desired selfie on your claws in a matter of seconds. But we can safely say that Dane Yun's design turned out to be the most realistic!

But, not many people are in a hurry to adopt the idea of this creative manicure. Most subscribers agreed that such a manicure looks appropriate only for a creative photo shoot, and that this design cannot be introduced into everyday life. Among the funny comments on the network was the question:

"How to clean such nails after cooking meatballs?".

Good question! But, probably, it is convenient to wash dishes with such nails - additional brushes. Or scratch your husband's back, tickling pleasantly. :) Oh, I need to return to the discussion of manicure, because my imagination has run amok in earnest! :) :) :) I was also amused by one guy's comment:

I love that more and more people are coming up with their own ways to announce to the world that they are crazy and that you should stay away from them.

But of course, like any interesting beauty phenomenon, such a manicure also has its fans. Among Dane Yoon's subscribers, there is one girl who was very interested in how long it took to create such a manicure, because she would not mind surprising her potential Tinder suitors with their own portraits. To be honest, if a girl with my hairy portrait on her nails came to me on a first date, if I were a guy, I would run from there at the speed of light! :)

It seems that a selfie manicure with a beard and mustache is just around the corner! :) Personally, for me, this nail design is associated with the horror movie "Call".

Despite the fact that I cannot fail to note the high professionalism of the creator of the selfie manicure, I think you have already understood, girls, that I am rather skeptical about such a design. And I hope you will not ask me to make such an original manicure for the New Year in Kyiv, for example! :)
