When the need for a strong, long-lasting manicure arises, most of us choose gel polish by default. But it turns out that there is a more resistant alternative - nail powder! I will tell you about it today.

Manicure trends come and go, but there are some that are confidently occupying a niche in the world of nail services. One of them is powder nail polish, which not only took social media by storm earlier this year, but really proved itself to be the best.

What is nail powder

Simply put, this is a special powder with which you kind of “powder” your nails. :)

Another plus is that you do not have to worry about the dangers of using a UV lamp. Unlike classic gel polish, powder dries instantly. So such a manicure can be afforded by pregnant girls, whom doctors recommend to refrain from exposure to ultraviolet rays in the early stages. It is also believed that such powder does not pose any threat to the respiratory tract. However, do not actively check this by inhaling the powder straight from the jar! :)

If you want to buy powder for nails, you should not always believe such sweet epithets as "safe", "natural" and "organic". After all, there are other substances in the composition, and it's not always harmless.

What do nail powder, gel polish and acrylic nails have in common?

Gel polish, dip powder, and traditional nail extensions have more in common than you might think. After all, it's all made on the basis of acrylic. All the ingredients used to make any type of artificial nail, whether false, UV-cured or mixed with liquid and powder, are all from the acrylic family.

This coating will last from 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the activity of your crazy hands, of course! :)

How to remove dip powder from nails

It is very important to find a master who is in no hurry to remove the powder as soon as possible. To remove deep powder, the nails are soaked in the same way as in the case of removing gel polish, but this may take longer. The minimum soaking time is 15 minutes . And the longer you wore your nails with powder, the longer it will take to remove it. But, again, you should not rush into this matter, because the last thing you want to do is scrape off the layers of nails, so you should be patient.

My conclusion: Powder for nails is a great alternative to the coatings we are already familiar with. But despite this, I would not use it on an ongoing basis, but most likely I would save it for special occasions (after all, my heart belongs to gel polish). :)
