Manicure without manicure
Recently, maximum naturalness has come into fashion. But how to make natural nails look attractive, even without coating? You will find out in today's article, because our topic is manicure without manicure.
Perhaps your nails are in a deplorable state after building. Or maybe you don't have the time or the funds for a professional gel polish manicure. Whatever your reason for taking a break from nail polish, don't give up on a manicure per se. After all, nails can look great without polish. However, in this case, one cannot do without small secrets, which I will share with you today. :) So, here's what you need to know and do to join the new wave of minimalism in manicure, and improve the condition and appearance of natural nails:
Scrub your nails
We are accustomed to using a scrub for body care, or, for example, for the face. However, nails are also not averse to being polished. :) The idea is to use a scrub to remove the residue of harmful varnishes from your nail beds and cuticles, and thereby stimulate the growth of new beautiful nails.
If you're not too eager to splurge on a special hand and nail scrub, then simply add a little coconut oil to your favorite facial peel, and massage this product onto your nails and cuticles twice a week.
Eat more eggs
As well as chicken, fish, and beef. Beauty comes from within and is impossible without proper nutrition. In order to strengthen brittle or weakened nails, you will need to consume enough protein, which is found in the above products.
Make them brighter
To whiten your nails, mix a tablespoon of baking soda and lemon juice until it becomes a paste. Gently rub the resulting mixture into the nail bed with a toothbrush, leave for a few minutes, and then rinse with warm water.
Choose a short length
Short cut nails with rounded tips are less prone to snagging or breaking, which means they will look more groomed.
Use the right tools
Get a four-sided nail buff, each side of which has a different grit and is responsible for a specific action. Usually all sides are numbered, and it will be easy enough to determine the order in which they are used.
However, resist the temptation to file and polish your nails every day (even though it gives your nails an attractive sheen). Use a buff no more than once a week, as too much buffing can thin your nails.
Limit your exposure to water
Water is generally beneficial, especially when it comes to consuming enough water and keeping the body hydrated. But for hands, water has a rather negative effect, and it dries nails and cuticles very much.
Therefore, if you want your nails to look as attractive as possible, you should protect your hands from exposure to water. To do this, always wear gloves during household chores such as cleaning or washing dishes, and if you are a bath lover, then do not put your hands in the water for a long time.
Use oil
In my previous articles, I have already mentioned more than once what a positive effect cuticle oil has on the beauty of our hands. In addition to using special cuticle oil, you can also make moisturizing nail baths.
Dip your fingertips into a small bowl of olive oil so that it covers the entire nail and cuticle area. Let the oil soak in for ten minutes, then pat your hands dry with a towel or paper towel, and seal the result with hand cream.
Opt for nude shades
If you still miss the coating, but want to be in the trend of naturalness, then choose nude, cold shades of nail polishes. Apply only one coat to maintain translucency.
You can also use a nail tint, which will help mask any bumps or protrusions in the nail plate without the harsh chemicals found in many polishes.
A beautiful manicure is, first of all, well-groomed nails that can look good even without coating. I hope today's article will be useful to you in this. :)
