LED nails
Are you ready to take your manicure to a more technological level? Or just want to be a noticeable person at any party? Then LED nails are what you need! :)
It's about using special NFC LED nail stickers that light up and sparkle every time they get close to an NFC signal.
What is NFC?
NFC (Near Field Communication) is translated from English as "near field communication". Thanks to this technology, communication and data transfer between devices that are close to each other is carried out.
NFC technology has long penetrated various areas of life, and we often deal with it:
- – when we make contactless payment with a bank card
- – when we transfer files / data (send photos from a smartphone, play music)
- – when we use it as an identity card (NFC chip with information about the owner)
- – when we transfer funds (by touching the smartphone to the smartphone)
With NFC, users can connect, share data, and complete tasks using radio frequency identification (RFID).
I wonder how all these highly technical things are connected with manicure? :) Now I'll tell you everything!
What is NFC LED nail?
This is a LED manicure, for the creation of which special small stickers with a chip are glued to the nails. Each sticker is an ultra-compact flexible circuit that contains an NFC antenna and a tiny LED. When near an NFC signal, the LED lights up. It does not require a battery or exposed wiring to operate, as the LED is "powered" by the electromagnetic field produced by the NFC signal.
These stickers were developed and first introduced in Japan, like so many other amazing beauty innovations.
Depending on the NFC source, the lights may flash as they do on the phone, or turn on and stay on as long as the NFC source is nearby. For example, electronic locks have such an effect. I even wanted to take a picture of it for you, how it looks from the outside, but the guy at the gas station looked at me a little too strangely as I continued to put my hand on the electronic lock guarding the doors to their back room. :)
You should be aware that, despite the promising prefix "NFC", nail chips are projected without the ability to store or transfer data. Stickers are for decorative purposes only. However, they can still be useful, as they show how many invisible electromagnetic fields affect us every day.
You can buy NFC LED nails on one of the many sites on the Internet. Since this is a rather specific item, you are unlikely to find it in regular manicure stores. The price for stickers with LED will be about $10.
How to stick an NFC chip on nails?
Applying LED stickers to your nails is not difficult, although it will likely take you a few tries before you are happy with the result.
Apply gel or acrylic as a base coat. Position the decal in the desired area, and "cover" it with another layer of coating. Now you can start nail art! Remember to leave the LED part visible so as not to block the glow.
In order to remove the nfc sticker from the nail, you only need a few drops of acetone. Unfortunately, LED nail stickers cannot be reused.
So, now we have glowing nails, it remains only to get the developers to create a manicure that can increase the Wi-Fi signal, and we would be happy. :) Be healthy and keep up with the times! :)
