How to prepare for eyelash extensions
So the day has come when you decided to increase eyelashes. But is it enough to just sign up for the procedure and come? Today I will tell you how to properly prepare for eyelash extensions.
For many girls, the eyelash extension procedure is not something special, and they perceive it simply as part of their usual care for their appearance. Partly so it also is. However, knowing some secrets and properly preparing for building, you can make the procedure easier and more enjoyable for both yourself and your master. So today I have prepared for you some tips on how to prepare for eyelash extensions.
Minimize Allergy Risks
Unfortunately, many people suffer from seasonal or pet allergies. This is a fairly common phenomenon, and it is highly likely that your body may react negatively to extension glue. If you do decide to get eyelash extensions, I recommend that you consider taking antihistamines prior to the procedure. I wrote more about allergy to eyelash extensions in one of my recent articles.
Take a shower before the procedure
No, this is not to please the master with the wonderful smell of your shower gel! :) You just won't get your lashes wet for the first 24 hours after application. The substance that is in the composition of any eyelash glue - cyanoacrylate, you need to dry it properly. Excessive moisture will adversely affect the abrasive properties of the adhesive and may cause premature lash loss.
Therefore, forget about showers, steam rooms, saunas and tears during the first 24-48 hours after the extension procedure. :)
Remove contact lenses
I recommend that my clients prefer glasses on the day of the procedure. But also be prepared to wear glasses for a couple of days after extensions, as the use of a special solution for contact lenses will again wet the eyelashes, and may adversely affect the properties of the glue used.
Don't paint your eyes
All eye makeup must be removed before the procedure, and it is advisable to do this with products that do not contain oil in the composition. Come to the procedure with a clean face, or at least without eye makeup, and this will save time for you and the master. I also strongly recommend not to curl your eyelashes before the first extension, because the master needs to see your natural curve of the eyelashes in order to carry out the extension in a quality manner.
Highlight eyelashes
If your natural lashes are so light that it's almost invisible, then the right decision is to color them before going to the master. I mean eyelash coloring, because we have already found out the expediency of applying makeup in the previous paragraph! :) Pre-coloring eyelashes will make the extension process much faster and easier for your master. And the general appearance of eyelashes after extension will be more harmonious and complete.
Don't drink coffee
Caffeine and energy drinks can energize your nervous system, preventing you from being still and relaxed during your eyelash extensions. Some clients even manage to sleep in the process! :) Why deprive yourself of such pleasure, save a cup of coffee for later.
Choose comfortable clothes
Since the extension procedure takes at least an hour, it is worth making a choice in favor of comfortable clothes that will not restrict your movements. Agree, it is very difficult to think about eyelashes when super tight skinny jeans are deadly stuck in the side! :)
In addition, to prevent unnecessary discomfort, do not come to the procedure with earrings that are too heavy or with a tight tail. And the last one is my favourite! Put your phone on silent mode. During the eyelash extension procedure, your eyes must remain closed. An unexpected phone call can distract you and make you want to open your eyes, which, personally, I do not advise at all. I will be supported by those who at least once in their life got eyelash glue in their eyes! :)
I hope my information was useful for you, and following the advice, the eyelash extension procedure will be quick, comfortable and productive!
