Clean your eyelashes

I recently advised a new client of mine to start using a mild eyelash cleansing foam, which caused a great surprise on her part, since all she had heard before was that the eyelashes should be kept dry, and in general, it is better not to touch them if possible. However, dust particles, as well as cosmetic residues, settle on the eyelashes, which can disrupt the adhesive properties of the glue, and thereby provoke premature loss of extended eyelashes. Therefore, cleansing is an important aspect of the care of artificial cilia.

The key here is to make sure the cleanser is oil-free and use a small, fluffy makeup brush to apply it to the base of your eyelids. Then rinse your eyes, pat dry and brush your lashes so they don't stick out.

Avoid eye cream

Oils in creams can weaken the adhesive and cause premature lashes to fall out. Instead, use a lightweight hydrating serum.

Sleep on your back

This is probably the most difficult condition for many girls who are used to sleeping on their stomach, or on their side. However, for the sake of beautiful eyelashes, as well as to prevent wrinkles, try to sleep on your back most of the time. If this is an impossible task for you, then at least get a silk pillowcase that will help minimize the friction of your face on the pillow during sleep.

Choose a classic extension

Avoid waterproof mascara

And while the biggest benefit of eyelash extensions is that you can ditch mascara entirely, some girls want to add even more emphasis to their eyes with makeup. It is not prohibited if you then carefully clean the eyelashes.

The limitation only applies to waterproof mascara, since it is much more difficult to remove it from the eyelashes, and this is often done with oil-based makeup removers that can dissolve the glue used for extensions.
