Depilation of facial hair
Facial hair removal is one of the least enjoyable activities when it comes to cosmetic procedures. However, by choosing the right depilation method, you can make the process easier. Our topic is facial hair removal.
Don't worry, almost all girls have facial hair. Luckily, they tend to be lighter and less coarse than the rest of the body hair. But since the face is a delicate area, you should consciously choose the method of hair removal that is right for you.
So if you want to get rid of frizzy upper lip, chin hair, or unibrows, here's what you need to know about each option.
Plucking facial hair with tweezers
Using tweezers is the easiest and cheapest method of removing facial hair. Of course, most often our eyebrows “suffer” from tweezers. But this method can also be used for those random chin hairs that appear out of nowhere.
Shaving facial hair in women
If you want to quickly remove facial hair - put the razor back!!! :) Shaving leaves blunt edges that make the hair grow even thicker, not to mention that the effect of the procedure is very temporary, and will probably only last one day. What works well for your body doesn't necessarily work well on your face. Don't be enamored with these little tiny razors in nice shades that are made especially for women. If you want to get rid of facial hair, shaving is not for you!
Cream for depilation on the face
Depilatory cream is a strong alkaline product that breaks hairs with ease. Applying facial depilatory cream is more suitable than shaving, but be careful when using this method because depilatory creams contain harsh substances and can cause chemical burns. Always carefully read the instructions for use, and do not use a body depilatory cream on delicate facial skin.
Facial hair removal with thread
The ancient thread depilation method is very effective for shaping eyebrows and removing facial hair. The effect of the procedure can last up to six weeks. The procedure is quite fast, no chemicals are used in the process, and the price is very reasonable. Another advantage is that the thread is able to capture even short hairs, that same ill-fated “fluff” that treacherously shines in the sun. So, if you are looking for ways to remove facial hair and get smooth skin without irritation as a result, turn your attention to thread depilation.
Facial hair waxing
Waxing is one of the most popular facial hair removal methods. Waxing services are offered by many salons and masters, and the effect of the procedure will delight you for four to six weeks. On sale you can also find kits for waxing the face at home. However, when thinking about how to remove the antennae, do not rush to immediately apply wax. Since waxing is a kind of exfoliation, if you are already using powerful exfoliants such as salicylic acid, alpha hydroxy acid, or various enzymes, waxing can cause severe redness, scabs, or even burns on your face. More recently, I wrote about contraindications for waxing, in a friendly way I advise you to read this article. :)
Sugaring
This facial depilation method leaves you hair-free for up to six weeks. Sugaring allows you to remove hairs with a length of 4 mm, so it is quite suitable for taming the obstinate unibrow, or it will pacify your inner Hottabych, pulling out all unwanted hairs from your chin. :)
Hair removal coils
It seems to me that the manufacturers of this miracle unit were inspired by hair ornaments from our childhood. The spring clips did a great job and “depilated” half of the hair on the head when trying to remove it! :)
Be that as it may, such coils are very effective for depilation of facial hair. This is similar to plucking with tweezers, but the process is much faster because you don't have to grab each hair individually.
Facial hair removal with laser
The laser burst into our lives very quickly, and with the promise of permanently removing facial hair. However, this is not quite true. Over time, the hairs still grow back, but they will become thinner and lighter, and may eventually not return at all after a timely repetition of the procedure.
The best candidates for laser hair removal are usually those with fair skin and dark hair because the light beam targets the pigment. This method is perfect for you if you have dark hair, but the procedure is contraindicated for people with dark skin color.
Facial hair removal by electrolysis
Electrolysis is exactly the method that will help get rid of facial hair forever. During the procedure, an electric current is used to destroy the hair. Unlike laser hair removal, you don't need a specific hair or skin color to achieve results. It will take several electrolysis treatments to remove facial hair, but at the end of this cycle, you will no longer need to remove hair in this area.
I hope my information was useful to you, and facial hair will no longer seem like an annoying factor to you, because you know how to deal with it. :) Be healthy and beautiful!
