Depilation during pregnancy
Expecting a baby is a magical time for a woman. Despite this, there are a number of restrictions that should be observed for the sake of the health of the unborn baby. Our topic today is depilation during pregnancy.
Pregnancy hormones stimulate active hair growth - sometimes in unexpected and unwanted places. While some methods of hair removal during pregnancy should be avoided, there are several ways to safely get rid of unwanted hair.
Shaving is perhaps the most popular method of hair removal used by many girls on a regular basis. This is a fairly safe procedure when you are not pregnant, and the only possible complications are ingrown hairs or a small cut.
In general, there are no prohibitions on shaving for pregnant women. However, the procedure itself can become difficult as your tummy gets bigger. If you're already at a stage in your pregnancy that doesn't give you a good view of your genitals, or if you can't reach the right part of your body, using a sharp object isn't a good idea. :) Feel free to ask your partner to help you with your shave, or at least ask them to back you up so you don't hurt yourself while shaving.
Waxing during pregnancy
Waxing is another method of hair removal, which is used by a huge number of women. And of course, many are interested in the question, is it safe to do waxing during pregnancy? And, I have good news for you - waxing can be done by pregnant women, and it will not harm either mom or baby.
The only difficulty that can arise is that shaving also accompanies it - it is not easy to see and control the process of bikini depilation. So forget about wax strips and do-it-yourself depilation, go to a professional instead.
It is worth noting that many pregnant girls report increased sensitivity when applying wax. This may be due to high levels of hormones that affect nerve endings. However, if you have a high pain threshold, and there is a desire to wax during pregnancy, you can safely sign up for the procedure.
Can depilatory cream be used during pregnancy?
Hair removal creams are a great solution for girls who love smooth skin but aren't ready for the pain that comes with waxing. While using a depilatory cream is not very dangerous, studies show that you should opt for another method of hair removal if you are pregnant.
The reason for this is that depilatory creams contain strong enough chemicals that are absorbed into the skin and thus into your body. There is a possibility that this could harm the baby, so it is best to refrain from depilating with a cream until you give birth.
Laser hair removal for pregnant women
For most people, laser hair removal is a great way to get rid of long-term hair. Particularly popular is the procedure for laser hair removal of the bikini area.
However, this is the best idea if you are pregnant. While there are no serious scientific studies that clearly state that laser hair removal during pregnancy is contraindicated, there are also none that clearly state that there are no side effects. In addition, laser hair removal can affect the pigmentation of the skin, and it will look much more intimidating than regrown hairs. :)
Plucking with tweezers
Not all depilation is concentrated only in the bikini area. Hair grows everywhere, and during pregnancy it grows at an even faster rate. You will most likely notice the “cute” fluff that now frames your belly, and perhaps a small mustache that was not observed above the upper lip before.
And then tweezers enter the arena! :) Its use is completely safe as this tool does not penetrate the skin. Therefore, you do not need to worry about any harmful or adverse effects on the baby or on you, other than possible increased sensitivity during the pulling of the hairs. To make the process less painful, try doing this after a hot shower.
As with tweezers, you can safely do thread depilation during pregnancy. Also, the method of hair removal with a thread is quite productive, as it removes a sufficiently large number of hairs at a time. This is especially true in the fight against the ill-fated "fluff". :)
Regardless of whether you decide to wax, shave, or even leave your hair intact until better times - remember that you are beautiful in any form, because new life blooms inside you! Be healthy and beautiful! :)
