Combi-manicure: the main mistakes
Combined manicure is the choice of many masters, as it allows you to perfectly process nails in a short time. Therefore, today we will consider the main combi manicure mistakes, and learn how to avoid them.
Incorrect use of the pusher
The first mistake of many masters is the wrong work as a pusher. Many people put the pusher too high in relation to the nail, and due to this there is a lot of pressure on the nail plate. That is, furrows on the nails can appear not only under the influence of the manicure apparatus, but also as a result of improper operation of the pusher.
The pusher should start working from the left side, leading into the sinus of the nail, and with very short smooth movements push the cuticle to the middle. Then we move to the right side, we also pull the side roller, go into the sinus of the nail and push the cuticle to the middle.
Next, with a scraper, which is usually located on the other side of the pusher handle, we clean the pterygium. The right corner of the scraper should go under the cuticle, in no case should you put the scraper in parallel, because its sharp corners can damage the nail plate and the skin in the sinus zone, or under the cuticle, which will lead to microcracks and cuts.
Try to clean your nails as much as possible with a scraper, in order to further reduce the impact on the nail plate with cutters.
Cutter position
Just like with the pusher, a big mistake is the incorrect position of the cutter in relation to the nail plate. The cutter should not be placed on the tip, as this creates a lot of pressure on the nail, and is fraught with a cut in the form of a furrow.
Also, some masters like to start working with the device from the impact on the side roller, moving towards the sinus in jerks and at speed, thus practically guaranteeing a cut under the cuticle.
Dry cut
Despite the fact that a combi manicure is considered a “dry” manicure, at least a small amount of water should be used to make the scissors work well and feel less painful. No need to soak your nails, just spray on the nail plate from a miniature spray bottle, and wipe the nail with a napkin. So the cuticle will be moisturized, and will become more pliable with a single cut with scissors. We use water not to soften the cuticle, as is the case in a regular cut manicure, but to slightly moisten it and remove excess dust.
Working with scissors
Most masters start the cut already in the sinus, and “fill up” the scissors, thereby provoking the bifurcation of the cuticle. Because of this, in the future it will not be possible to make a single cut, but you will have to carry out your “manipulations” several times. :)
There are also cases when the craftsmen, on the contrary, tilt the scissors too much towards themselves, and thus it turns out to process the area under the cuticle, but it will be inconvenient to cut the cuticle itself.
The scissors should stand exactly in relation to the nail, and the cut should start from the side roller.
I hope my information was useful to you and will help you improve your combi manicure skills, regardless of whether you work as a master or want to do a manicure at home by yourself. Be healthy and beautiful! :)
