At what age should you start removing body hair?
The age at which your child begins to shed unwanted hair is a personal choice and should be made by the child himself, not by you. Some children do not care about this issue at all for the time being, especially if blond hairs grow, which are practically invisible.
But if your child is embarrassed by the vegetation that has suddenly enveloped him, has complexes, and feels uncomfortable - it's time to tell the basics of children's depilation.

Can hair removal cause health problems in children?
Hair removal is not without drawbacks at any age. Irritation, allergies, cuts, burns - unfortunately, such phenomena take place.

Shaving for girls
If your daughter wants to start shaving her legs or underarms, you might as well start by using a disposable razor.
I advise you to give preference to women's razors, since most often a strip with a moisturizer is glued on it, which reduces the risk of irritation.
She can also use a special shaving gel or cream to help protect her skin and make it smoother. For best results, advise your daughter to shave while bathing when her skin is softened. Also remind about the importance of timely replacement of the razor.
Shaving alternatives
Fortunately, these days there are other options for removing unwanted hair in children other than shaving. This is especially true for "vegetation" in the pubic area, around the eyebrows, on the upper lip and on the chest. In the pubic area, it is quite possible to use a depilatory cream, after carefully familiarizing the child with the instructions.
Good old tweezers will help to bring children's eyebrows in order, or you can remove excess hairs with a thread.
Extra hair above the lip can be removed with a cream, a small wax strip, and even electrolysis or laser.
