Body hair bleaching
Unwanted body hair is one of the most common problems faced by girls in the pursuit of beauty. But is there an alternative to complete hair removal? The answer is in my post today :)
Paradoxically, the bleaching of facial and body hair is one of the methods of hair removal, although in fact the amount of hair remains unchanged. However, the essence of the procedure is to remove the dark pigment from the hair and replace it with a light shade of blond . Instead of removing body hair, you can bleach and turn it into a "shiny golden coat that shimmers on the skin." Bleached hair often becomes less noticeable. This is a great option for those who don't like the way the hairs look, but the fact that they are there is not annoying. Such a proven way to be "white and fluffy" :)
How it works?
Body hair bleach ingredients are mixed according to manufacturer's instructions and applied to desired areas. After about ten minutes, the hair is lightened by removing the pigment from the hair, and the product is washed off with cool water. Unlike depilatory cream, in the case of lightening, all hairs remain in place. In fact, this is the same process as dyeing hair on your head. But, despite the fact that similar ingredients are used (for example, hydrogen peroxide), the special formula for bleaching facial and body hair is different from hair dye, and works much softer.
This method is best suited for people with soft hair, as too thick, coarse hairs, even if dyed, will still be noticeable. I especially recommend this procedure to those who, for example, want to make the mustache above the upper lip less noticeable.
Or who has long been interested in painting hair on their hands. Skin color also matters: manufacturers, in most cases, recommend the procedure for people with fair skin.
But the ladies from Brazil think differently. This summer, on the hot beaches of Rio de Janeiro, representatives of the new beauty trend “golden shower” are flaunting with might and main. They are easily recognizable by the characteristic sheen of golden hair against the background of a tanned body. :)
By opting to bleach their hair before depilation, Brazilian beauties have inspired manufacturers to create a product that activates when exposed to the sun!
That is, you can combine sunbathing and hair coloring. The golden cream is applied to any areas of the body that you want to whiten while you tan in the sun.
You need to hold the product on the skin for about half an hour, and then it can be easily washed off by jumping into the pool or ocean. Eh ... I envy white (or discolored) envy :)
Benefits of bleaching body hair
It's fast. The whole process from mixing the product to rinsing with water will take about 20 minutes.
No need to pre-register. Sugaring or wax depilation require much more time, so the procedure must be agreed in advance with the master. Hair bleaching is a procedure that you can easily carry out on your own, and choose the time that suits you.
It's easy. You don't need special skills to bleach your hair at home. It is enough just to follow the recommendations in the instructions for the tool.
Some of the side effects of hair removal can be avoided. Since the hair is not removed, you will not feel any pain. There is also no risk of getting ingrown hairs, cuts, burns or bruises.
It's available. Whitening creams can be found at any pharmacy or online. The price is also quite democratic.
Disadvantages of bleaching body hair
The surface of the skin will not be smooth. Although the hair is getting lighter, it can still be visible, especially if you are standing in the sun or in a bright room.
Not for all hair and skin types.
The results are not very durable. You only lighten the hair above the surface of the skin. As the hairs grow back, you will see a darker, more natural color. The contrast will be especially noticeable on light skin with dark hair. The effect lasts from 2 to 4 weeks.
May temporarily lighten dark skin tones. Whitening agents can affect not only the hairs, but also the areas of the skin to which the agent was applied.
May cause allergies. Check the bleach ingredients carefully before use to make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
People with sensitive skin should be as careful as possible. If you notice redness or a rash after using the product, stop using and consult your doctor.
My Conclusion: Body hair bleaching is one of the safest, most effective, and most convenient ways to make unwanted hair less visible. At the same time, it is worth remembering that you are not getting rid of hair, but only “masking” them. If you are aiming to part with unwanted vegetation, you should look for other methods.
